Cara Mia was born in 1955 in Castroville, CA— ‘the artichoke center of the world.´ What began as a grower co-op with a mission to freeze fresh artichokes for year-round enjoyment quickly grew into something more.

Unique Quality
In 1958, we revolutionized the market by introducing our exclusive marinated artichoke recipe—a proprietary spice blend crafted only for Cara Mia. This recipe remains unique to us and has helped make Cara Mia a top selling brand of marinated artichokes in the U.S.
Since joining the Borges Group in 2001, we’ve continued to build on our heritage with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, meeting consumer needs while caring for the planet.
